Why Mental Fitness?

With 1 in 5 children** struggling with mental illness, it is time to build “prevention” programs through research …

Mental Fitness is the only nonprofit who focuses on primary prevention research to bring evidence-based programs into schools across America. Help us reach our goals by donating today — your funds could be matched up to TWO times!

Our current research includes:
— Mental Fitness announces a cutting-edge partnership with researchers in Durham, NC who specialize in social-emotional learning video games. We are piloting programs in Spartanburg pre-K programs that build resilience in children.

— Mental Fitness and researchers from UNC Chapel Hill partner to design measures to build and track “mental fitness” in all youth.

— Wofford College students in public health and Ph.D. researchers from Coastal Carolina University are collaborating with Mental Fitness on our evidence-based online learning trainings.

— Wofford College public health students and local researchers in Spartanburg, SC collaborate to develop measures that outline how individuals define and measure overall mental and physical health.
