Karen Koenig


Karen R. Koenig, LCSW, M.Ed., is a four-book international author, motivational speaker, psychotherapist, eating coach with a worldwide clientele, and expert on the psychology of eating—the why and how, not the what of it—with 30-plus years of experience teaching troubled eaters to stop dieting and bingeing by using the skills that “normal” eaters use naturally to attain and maintain a healthy weight for life.  She is the author of THE RULES OF “NORMAL” EATING, THE FOOD AND FEELINGS WORKBOOK, NICE GIRLS FINISH FAT, and WHAT EVERY THERAPIST NEEDS TO KNOW ABOUT TREATING EATING AND WEIGHT ISSUES.  Practing in Sarasota, Florida, she also does Skype and tele-coaching nationally and internationally.  She moderates a Yahoo Food and Feelings message board, blogs twice weekly at Gurze Blogs, and has developed a free Facebook app that can be accessed at APPetite on Facebook.
