The Center for Mind & Body Wellness is a private nutrition therapy practice specializing in Nutrition, Fitness and Disordered Eating – from weight management to anorexia, bulimia, PCOS, food aversions and compulsive overeating. We provide comprehensive Nutrition, Fitness and Disordered Eating Management Counseling for the prevention and management of eating disorders and chronic diseases. We offer a wide range of programs for individuals interested in improving their current health and fitness level or attaining a healthier lifestyle. We stress medical supervision, lifestyle and behavior modification, individual counseling and patient educational programs to provide optimal health and fitness for all participants. Health Promotion and Disease Management areas are addressed in individual and group settings. The Center for Mind & Body Wellness approach to Nutrition Therapy involves a Non-Diet Approach – incorporating gradual changes in diet and lifestyle to promote optimum health and fitness. A Non-Diet Approach focuses on helping individuals feeling better about themselves so that they become more realistic and accepting of their bodies, eating in a more balanced, relaxed way and being comfortably physically active.

“I use an Eclectic Approach – including Cognitive Behavioral, Psychodynamic, Gestalt, Humanistic Existential, Jungian, Narrative, Feminist Family Systems – and a Non-Diet Approach for Nutrition Therapy. This may include a variety of psychological theories and techniques, social, spiritual and environmental circumstances that affect the mind/body connection – across a broad range of client needs. I also provide Christian counseling, when requested. I work with many clients dealing with body image issues. Ms. Travali also works with Athletes, Compulsive Exercisers, Binge Eating Disorder, Obesity, Food Addiction, Compulsive Overeating, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Body Dysmorphic, Disorder (BDD), Night Eating Syndrome and Pica.”
