#14 of 108: Sing Baby Sing
Week 1 of the Olympics, as expected, was amazing.
I always find the most inspirational moment of the Olympics to be an athlete crying on the medal stand while belting out their national anthem!
While that Olympic moment is reserved for the tiniest percentage of the population…
…it reminds us that CELEBRATION is a sport in and of itself.
To the complainers out there (like me), you might be really good at bemoaning your struggles and defeats, but then I have a rule…you also must be good at celebrating your victories!
Whether it’s conquering the urge to look at email and instead taking in the morning glory…or relishing your Delicious Moment of the Day…
…every day needs a victory…and every victory needs an anthem!
So what is your personal anthem…that song heard everytime you enjoy a little taste of “gold?!”
And when your partner or kids hear you belting out this song, they might roll their eyes but they will know oh so clearly that something wonderful happened.
That anthem can change from time to time…in fact I just found my new anthem this morning.
“Ain’t it Enough” by Old Crow Medicine Show…a nod to the simple pleasures!
Lying beside you,
Watching the moon rise,
If that’s all there is babe,
Then ain’t it enough?
So if your Monday is filled with headaches and hangovers, go ahead…moan and complain all you want.
But do the world right and take a second today to let us hear your personal anthem!
Whether you are celebrating the fortune of being alive; or the love of your children; or simply the sound of your crotchety voice…AIN’T IT ENOUGH?!
SAVE THE WORLD AND BECOME A MOMENTEER!
Something in our world is whacky. Too much info too often. I’m addicted and I don’t like it.
So…I’m getting ready to launch a little revolution. It’s not that we stop using technology. But that technology stops using us.
